Heritage Jiu Jitsu Aligns with Team Combat Base, Elevates the Jiu Jitsu Scene in Wake Forest
Heritage Jiu Jitsu, a prominent martial arts academy nestled in the heart of Wake Forest, proudly announces its strategic alignment with Team Combat Base, a renowned name in the world of Jiu Jitsu. Spearheaded by American Jiu Jitsu luminary, Chris Haueter, and his black belt wife, Melissa Haueter, Team Combat Base stands as an elite example of excellence and tradition in the martial arts community.
A New Chapter in Wake Forest's Jiu Jitsu Journey
This strategic partnership marks a significant milestone for Heritage Jiu Jitsu and the local Jiu Jitsu community in Wake Forest. By joining forces with Team Combat Base, Heritage Jiu Jitsu solidifies its commitment to providing unparalleled training and fostering a culture of growth and camaraderie among practitioners.
Welcoming a Living Legend
In an exciting development, Heritage Jiu Jitsu will play host to Chris Haueter himself in June. Haueter's visit promises an enriching experience for Jiu Jitsu enthusiasts as he conducts a seminar and oversees rank promotions. This eagerly anticipated event signifies Heritage Jiu Jitsu's dedication to offering top-tier JJ instruction and underscores Wake Forest's emergence as a hub for Jiu Jitsu excellence.
Chris Haueter is a 6th degree JJ Black Belt and member of the dirty dozen (the first 12 non-Brazilian black belts). Chris was the first American to submit a Brazilian in competition, the first American to compete as a black belt at the Mundials in Brazil, and he continues to travel the world spreading his Jiu Jitsu philosophy of think street, train sport and practice art. He is also known for his golden rules of grappling, coining the term combat base as the base with one knee up and one knee down, and saying, “It is not about who is good, but who is left. It’s time on the mat. You will be somewhere in ten years, you might as well be a black belt too. Just don’t quit.”
Honoring Jiu Jitsu Excellence
During the upcoming seminar and rank promotions, Heritage Jiu Jitsu's esteemed head black belt instructor and owner, Jeremy Laviano, will be conferred with his second-degree black belt. This accolade recognizes Laviano's dedication and proficiency in the art of Jiu Jitsu and symbolizes Heritage Jiu Jitsu's unwavering commitment to excellence in instruction and leadership.
A Vision for Growth and Collaboration
The collaboration between Heritage Jiu Jitsu and Team Combat Base signifies more than just a partnership; it represents a shared vision for the growth and elevation of Jiu Jitsu in Wake Forest and beyond. Through collaborative efforts and a steadfast commitment to the principles of honor, discipline, and respect, both entities aim to empower individuals and strengthen the fabric of the local martial arts community.
